Ronan has been teaching social justice literature for the past 17 years. In that time he has taught university, high school, and middle school students.

As an educator, Ronan believes that by studying how hateful ideas are disseminated, students can gain the power to transcend hatred. He earned his BA in literature from Vassar college with a focus on Race Studies.

He earned his MA in Ancient Literature from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a focus on the ancient origins of modern discrimination.
